What Is The Importance Of Cybersecurity In The Philippines?
Powerful Hackers And Cybercriminals:
Sometimes big organizations and government websites are hacked by hackers for fun. But sometimes the hackers want to attack and steal important data from those websites.
A few weeks ago a hacker stole the personal data of over 1 million customers from the database of the Australian Post Office. This database was freely available on the internet because they did not take adequate measures to secure it.
Cybercriminals have easy access to data these days because most people use computers. It is to store their personal information e.g bank account details etc.
If a cybercriminal gets hold of such information. Then they can withdraw money from your bank accounts or steal your credit card details.
And also make purchases using your credit cards. If you do not want this to happen.
Then you must take adequate measures to protect yourself from cybercriminals and hackers. You should also be aware of what measures you should take to protect yourself from such cyber attacks.
These measures include cybersecurity in the Philippines. You should make sure that you have properly secured your computer or network and implemented an efficient security policy.
You must have a good antivirus installed on your device which will constantly scan your computer. This is for malware or viruses which may infect your device and cause harm to it or its users.
You should tighten up all the loopholes in your organization’s security system. So that attackers can’t easily break into it and steal important data like passwords etc.
You must also make sure that all your staff members are aware of such threats. And also they know what they need to do if they see any suspicious activity on their computers/ networks etc.
Your employees must also be aware that they are responsible for protecting their own devices. If they fail to do so then it is their fault if their devices get hacked and their data gets stolen by cybercriminals.
They must understand that the company will not be liable for any damage caused due. It is for hacking or theft of data.
